An “Indian Matchmaking” Alum Gets Set Up with Six Books

This episode, our guest is Aparna Shewakramani. Aparna is a lawyer from Houston and a former cast member of the Netflix show Indian Matchmaking. Her book, She’s Unlikeable and Other Lies that Bring Women Down, came out in Spring 2022. She is also the founder of the travel company, My Golden Balloon.

In her reading life, Aparna recently loved Yaa Gyasi’s Homegoing and The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett. We learned from her questionnaire that she has a tattoo from studying abroad in Japan and that she always picks Britney songs for karaoke. Not surprisingly, her dream vacation would include adventures, with luxury hotels at each stop.
